The leaves are starting to turn and crisp autumn temperatures are finally here, making it the perfect time for a mini-getaway to the North Georgia mountains for the upcoming Currahee Art Festival! Next weekend on Saturday, October 29th and Sunday, October 30th, the Currahee Arists’ Guild will hold their annual fall arts and crafts festival in conjunction with the Toccoa Harvest Festival.

Head to The Studio on East Doyle St. in the downtown Toccoa mall to see the juried competition. The diverse selection of art works includes oil, acrylic, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art, watercolor, pastels, pottery, and fine crafts. Toccoa’s Harvest Festival will be held at the mall at the same time, and will include handmade and handcrafted items, foods from a variety of cultures, a classic car show, live entertainment, children’s activities, and more. Festival hours are 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm Sunday.

This is a great opportunity to take a scenic drive, check out the changing leaves, and buy some beautiful and unique art for your Gwinnett County home.
