Families change a lot over the years, from the addition of new members to the day that your children leave the nest. Just as your family life goes through changes, so too should your home. A professional interior designer can be an invaluable asset when it comes to remodeling your home to fit your current and future needs. Today, we’re sharing a recent project in which we completely transformed a space in both style and function.

In these before photos, you can see that this space used to be a feminine bedroom with closets at one end.

Before: Closets

As part of this Gwinnett County remodeling project, we closed off the doorway into the hall and removed the closets at the end of the room, creating more usable space. Digital interior design renderings allowed the homeowner to visualize the final result before remodeling began.

The new and improved space features custom built-ins and furniture designed by our own Michelle Nettles, as well as a rich, luxurious faux leather treatment on the walls by Kass Wilson. Red upholstery on the custom chairs highlights the red accents in the carpet, and coordinated custom draperies, wood, and granite combine to create a warm, elegant atmosphere. Stay tuned to see more of this great project.
