When a person wants to redecorate an existing home, it seems that the first thing that they want to pick is the paint color when in reality, it should be the last thing that they choose. Everything else, furniture, window treatments, flooring, etc., should be chosen before paint because paint is the least limiting of all the choices you have to make. You can get a paint to match anything. When you choose a paint color first, you will find yourself trying to design around it, and vastly limiting your choices. Once you have all your other choices made, painting is the first thing you should do. Perhaps this is where the confusion lies. Paint: the last thing you should choose, the first thing you should do.
